Chris's inspection work is driven by his passion. Chris grew up with his dad, and this upbringing is full of memories of building and fixing everything around the house. He was only eight years old when he helped install a new hot water tank to replace his father's old unit. Dad was in coveralls, with duct tape on his wrists and ankles to keep the attic insulation off. The itching and the cold showers that followed are memorable, but they also counted as part of his education. Although the spending money came from demolishing barns and building log homes in Prince George, Chris paid his tuition with summer work in general construction in Whistler and roofing. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design and began a career as an Exhibit Designer and Project Manager. The team with more people made more projects and created increased demand for building modifications. This projected Chris into more significant involvement with engineers, general contractors, and code consultants. After coming back from working in Scotland, Chris changed to residential and commercial construction management in Vancouver. The switch to home inspections was easy with the commitment to use his experience to teach others and assist them during their life-changing moments.
