About Us Twenty-three years ago, Vancouver resident Johannes von Stefenelli founded Junkyard Angel Junk Removal. A Vancouver resident, Johannes von Stefenelli, established an environment-friendly junk and rubbish collection company in 1998 that could reuse or recycle as much as possible. Junkyard Angel was created by Johannes. Since then, he has progressively grown the company. Our first vehicle was my Volkswagen van. We now have a Ford F-250 pickup truck with a dumpbox insert. Our commitment to providing the best possible junk removal service for Vancouver and the Lower Mainland has not changed. OUR ECO-FRIENDLY APPROACH Vancouver residents are aware of their impact on the environment. Residents choose Vancouver for its stunning natural setting. We share this concern for the environment. We are committed to recycling as much material as possible. We can put less material in landfill today and have more land to use tomorrow. We carefully load the material we receive from customers to make sorting easier. Our truck sorts the materials after loading. Some items, such as furniture or appliances, can be recycled if they are in good shape. Some materials, such as metal, cardboard, and tires, can also be recycled. These materials are set aside for use by our recycling partners and reuse industry partners. Municipal businesses or landfills handle everything else after the sorting process is completed. Metro Vancouver hopes to increase its recycling rate to at least 80% by 2020. We are working to achieve this goal by working with our customers, partners, and junk removal business.
