We have access to over 20 insurance companies such as INTACT Insurance, AVIVA Insurance, Allianz Global Travel Insurance, Special Risks Managers, Premier Canada, Beacon, PAL, and including major Japanese carriers like Tokio Marine, Mitsui-Sumitomo/Chubb, Sompo, etc. Our head office was in Vancouver's Chinatown from the early 1970s until now, and we have shifted to numerous places within Vancouver. We have been on West Broadway since 1992. The second-generation Japanese Canadian Alfred Kamitakahara founded Kami Insurance Agencies Ltd. on May 19, 1959, and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019. We held a modest lunch and announced that one more office in Richmond City was recent at the annual party in November 2019. We recently named a white 4-story building as "Kami Insurance Building." We also looked at some old photos from the 1970s and 1990s. As we go through old records and photos for the celebration, we will share more stories.
