About this business

SERVING FREE LEGAL ASSISTANCE SINCE 1969. Law students operate the Law Students' Legal Assistance Program (LSLAP), a non-profit company. Clients in the Lower Mainland receive free legal advice and representation.

Reviews Summary

The LSLAP Program provides a free legal service that should be praised as it stands out in society due to the dedication of the student lawyers and the program to offer their services to clients that cannot afford legal representation. It is important to note that students take a little longer to provide their responses. On the other hand, the LSLAP Program offers a prime service compared to the cost and time input by the clients making it a suitable choice. There were reviews from the clients that obtained the services that helped them save money and the service was provided quickly. Some students are very passionate which makes them similar to professional lawyers. One client stated that he would never be able to handle the amount of research conducted by the students. It was also noted that some of the clients are grateful while others are not. One of the clients even stated that the students do not recognize the facts that the students are busy and are doing volunteer work. It is very impressive that all the services provided by the student are reviewed by the program supervisor because this helps reduced mistakes that might make clients lose their cases. The clients really appreciate all the hard work that was put by the student lawyers.
