Last November when water began dripping from a ceiling in the middle of my home, It was Scotty, owner/operator of Lockhart Roofing who came to my rescue. Heavy rain was forecast for mid-afternoon that same day, and so I was desperate. I cold-called several local roofers, but it was only Scotty who responded and who agreed to come. When we spoke, he mentioned the weather forecast right away, noting that we had just few hours to both find and then plug the leak. Knowing that time was very short, he promised to be at my home right away... and he was. Finding the source of the leak so far away from where it was showing up was not easy, but Scotty persevered. He finally found it, diagnosed the problem and did everything he could to stop the leak, assuring me that what he had done would hold until such time as the weather allowed for a permanent repair. The repair he did that day held as promised throughout all the winter months, and was still good the day he and his team replaced my 23-year-old roof altogether 7 months later. I mention this incident at length because I think it tells you everything you need to know about Scotty and Lockhart Roofing. I can attest that Scotty genuinely cares about his customers and their well-being. He is honest, reliable, responsible and fair, and he and his team are excellent craftsmen who pride themselves on consistently high quality work. Throughout the process of replacing my roof this spring, Scotty outlined each step in detail, answered all my questions, and always kept me in the loop about the availability of materials and about timelines and scheduling. His team arrived on time and, as promised, kept me informed about each step, including some unexpected anomalies which they discovered along the way, repairing these, too. Their workmanship throughout is excellent and the clean-up impeccable. Scotty himself returned after all the work was done to inspect everything himself once more, including to personally make sure that the colour of the caulking matched the metal flashings. I have great respect for such attention to details. And of course I must mention that my new roof looks fabulous! Scotty and his team have done A-1 First Class work for me here on not one, but two occasions, and I will be recommending them wholeheartedly to everyone I know.
