VCH provides care for over one million people in Richmond, Vancouver, the North Shore, Sunshine Coast, Sea to Sky corridor, Powell River, Bella Bella, and Bella Coola. This includes $4.1 billion in community, hospital, and long-term care services in British Columbia. VCH serves the entire province for services such as specialized care and services including territory-wide services in orthopedics, trauma, and burn treatment for residents in need. VCH also serves as a hub for health care education and research, working with other organizations in British Columbia to help bring healthcare professionals to the province, train future health care professionals right here and fund research to advance health care practice and improve patient outcomes.
