Nick hails from Sarnia, a blue-collar town in Ontario. It's where he grew up and lived until he left for McMaster University in 2002. His father wasn't the first person in the family to attend a postsecondary institution, and neither were his parents. While at his first school, Nick took a wide array of classes and worked part-time. He received an honours undergraduate degree in psychology. Nick relocated to Toronto and eventually completed his second bachelor's in political science. He was admitted to a law school that he completed at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, where he studied for a Juris Doctorate. Nick completed the Law Centre Program for a semester, which was a legal clinic. He took part in two criminal trials and was not guilty in both. The Law Centre taught Nick that he's passionate about criminal defense, litigation, and assisting people in difficult situations. This accomplishment makes Nick proud. When Nick graduated, he had the pleasure of working with Michael J. Munro, one of Vancouver Island's top criminal defense lawyers.
