Background at a Glance Born in Cadboro Bay in Victoria, Alex Carroll spent his early years there, attending Frank Hobbs Elementary School and Mt. Douglas Secondary School. Early in his life, Alex developed a liking sports upon discovering his ability and passion. Alex later went to various Canadian Universities before settling for Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. Alex took on a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, where he carried the Queens' school colours in his role as a track and field sprinter during his four years learning. One of the highlights in his football career was when he led the OUA in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2014 (2nd nationally). Alex was also recognized as an OUA All-Star Receiver and Kick-Returner. In the spring of 2015, Alex signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and began his professional football voyage. His first two receptions in the CFL were touchdown catches; the first of which was in a preseason game, and the second came on August 22nd against the Calgary Stampeders. In 2017 Alex Carroll signed with the Montreal Alouettes, and unfortunately, the season ended prematurely due to an injury to his knee
