Camosun College Interurban Campus, located in Victoria, British Columbia, is situated on the Traditional Territories of the WSANEC and L@kw@NG@n peoples. The campus is infused with the warmth and generosity of the Coast Salish nations, and this warm welcome is felt by everyone who studies here.
More than 1,200 Indigenous students, Metis and Inuit, from across Canada are typically enrolled at Camosun each year. In addition, our student body includes over 2,100 international students from more than 80 countries.
The word Camosun comes from the mispronunciation of a Lkwungen (Songhees) name given to the First Nations people who lived at the place where different waters meet and are transformed. Camosun College received its first student in 1971.
