Camosun College Interurban Campus, located in Victoria, British Columbia, is situated on the Traditional Territories of the WSANEC and L@kw@NG@n peoples. The campus is infused with the warmth and generosity of the Coast Salish nations, and this warm welcome is felt by everyone who studies here. More than 1,200 Indigenous students, Metis and Inuit, from across Canada are typically enrolled at Camosun each year. In addition, our student body includes over 2,100 international students from more than 80 countries. The word Camosun comes from the mispronunciation of a Lkwungen (Songhees) name given to the First Nations people who lived at the place where different waters meet and are transformed. Camosun College received its first student in 1971.

In general, reviews of the college campus are overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing the friendly and supportive environment, beautiful location and ambitious academic programs. Community members responded positively to the service and mindset of workers, both their willingness to engage and their knowledge. Some public community members openly addressed complaints about each other and the organization, implying that the establishment does not suit everyone. One of these complaints was the lack of parking. However, the university was said to have some positive attributes and make a generally acceptable educational foundation for the vicinity. This study shows that the campus is people-focused, but there are some areas in need of improvement such as parking.
