Jon-Mark Photography

I have been involved with Jon-Mark Photography since I was in elementary school. I remember getting a disposable camera and taking it to camp with me to take pictures of my friends and crushes. I enjoyed seeing them develop at London Drugs. Before then, I had no idea what the picture looked like, so it was exciting to wait and see. I also had no clue about composition or focusing. My dad had a Minolta SLR film camera, which I borrowed to take pictures anywhere I went. Ever since I had a camera, I always had to take pictures, even if I did not know what I was doing. I thought that Esquimalt High School had many talented photographers who shared my enthusiasm for photography. Although I did not understand how to compose a proper photograph or how to focus the camera, we founded the school's photography club with a friend. The club is still active today, and I am so happy to be the photographer. Over the years, I have embraced my role in the photography industry as a way to show the world the beauty and perfection of love. I enjoy capturing the genuine joy, laughter, and real moments that a couple shares with their loved ones on their wedding day. I don’t just take stiff, posed pictures. I strive to capture the real and genuine emotions that the couple and their loved ones express during their big day. I received the title of best overall wedding photographer in 2020 from the Vancouver Island Wedding Industry Associations. In 2019, I was also recognized as one of the Top 30 Wedding Photographers under 30 by Chickspeare City. I have gathered experience for the last 13 years by successfully photographing over hundreds of weddings in eight countries, capturing the most beautiful moments of over millions of pictures (Jon-Mark Photography, 2021).
