Eyelash extensions can last for 2-4 weeks. They should be filled in, so at least half the lashes remain. The set will be applied in about 1 1/2 to 3 hours depending on how many the customer has. Medical grade adhesive is used. An adhesive patch test can be performed if required 48 hours before application. The adhesive patch test may be performed on the arm or back of the neck during consultation. No oil-based creams or face washes should be used as they will cause the adhesive to break down faster. Avoid rubbing your eyes with mascara or any product. This will cause the lash to prematurely fall out. An optometrist can recommend a wash to clean eyelashes at one of our offices. Lashes can become brittle and/or distorted due to strong heat, such as a BBQ grill. The customer should be given aftercare instructions. This will contain all the instructions.
