The receptionist was very pleasant. The end. Apparently, there was some error made on the referral form from Dr. Appleby's office that was only discovered AFTER I took the day off work, had a friend come in from out of town to stay with me and was in the clinic waiting, after I completed a bunch of forms I had already completed at the surgeon's (Dr. Appleby) office. Does the doctor come and speak to me? No. The anesthesiologist, a man who looked far passed retirement, came and took me into a consulting room to explain why I couldn't have my scheduled surgery in that clinic and would need to go to a hospital. Honestly, I didn't hear much of what he said because all he kept saying was "do you", i.e., "we can't do you here" and "so, we can't do you..." Wow. Talk about inarticulate! By the time my friend arrived to pick me up, I still hadn't seen Dr. Appleby, so I told the receptionist that I had enough of my time wasted today and that I was leaving and to tell the doctor she can call me. Honestly, they did me a favor because every woman I saw walking out of there was barely able to move. They just rush you out. Ladies, if you're going in for a polypectomy, D&C, or anything else relating to your reproductive system, demand a hospital! I went to the Grace Hospital last year for this same thing and I when I left, I was perfectly happy. They didn't rush me out and took great care of me.
