Greetings! My name is Darren Chalus, and I have been the owner of Superior Chem-Dry since 2020. I have deep roots in Thompson, Manitoba. I moved to Winnipeg to finish my bachelor's degree at the University of Manitoba in 1991. I also spent 20 years as a pharmacist following my graduation from U of M in 1991. I began as a sales representative for AstraZeneca, managed a wholesaler, and eventually became the owner of Canada's first automated Central-Fill Pharmacy. My journey and how Superior Chem-Dry became mine. During a cross-Canada trip from Halifax to Vancouver in 2012, friends of mine who were juicers brought along their personal gallon juice jar. On the journey, the red dye liquid overflowed onto my staircase. When they left, they left a check for my insurance deductible. They anticipated that the carpets will be 100% replaced. They enquired if I would be willing to clean the carpets professionally. Robert Kries, the founder and former owner of Superior Chem-Dry in Winnipeg, came to clean the house. I was impressed by his method. As a customer, he was more than expected. Robert's professionalism and Chem-Dry's superior cleaning technology convinced me to buy the company in 2020 over the next five years. Managing an excellent franchise in Winnipeg is an honor.
