TNT Tree Service Ltd. was established to help Manitobans control cankerworms. It started as a cankerworm prevention service company in the province in the late Nineties. The prevention methods included tree banding and spring spraying. Chris bought the whole business in 2004 after several seasons of working with the original owners. The purchase came as he was fresh from the University of Winnipeg with a bachelor's degree in Biology. His passion for trees and the outdoors was nurtured by his tree-planting adventures in Alberta and Manitoba during the summer breaks. Thus, TNT Tree Service was an opportunity for Chris to live in the great outdoors and enjoy a rewarding job. In 2014, the company was expanded to general arborist services, a move that has remained the core of their operations. Chris feels fortunate to live in such a remarkable urban forest, which boasts the highest elm trees in North America. He feels privileged to call this forest his office.
