When she dealt with and won against lymphoma, a long-term disability policy allowed her family to focus on her. While working in this industry, she saw several problems. Leilah was among a few young female insurance advisors. She only sold life insurance policies. Her aim is to educate young women on the importance of having a policy, adjusting their coverage to suit their jobs, and protecting their families in the event of an emergency. In 2018, Leilah obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2018 from the University of Winnipeg. She double-specialized in Anthropology, Archaeology, and Anthropology.
