Top consultants in information technology will always recommend products and services which ensure their clients’ financial stability. They used to earn this way. The fiscal impact of hardware and software has declined significantly from three to two times to one time, and now even single figures. This has made it difficult for the consultants to operate efficiently. It’s no wonder cloud computing and SaaS have been pushed so hard by the industry. It was seen to be a way to return to good old days of revenue from these, repeating every month, and where consultants could still get good money. But this is not working.
