At Tall Pines, we have modern and spacious long-term care facilities with wide rooms, halls, and recreational areas. Each resident residing here enjoys a stunning view of the backyard garden from their room. The ground-floor rooms have a direct exit to the garden, while the upper floors have a terrace for the residents to enjoy nature. Tall Pines was built on land originally owned by the Mississauga Indian Peoples and then sold to Crown in the 1800s. The land was initially covered with tall pines that were logged and converted into farmland.

Horrible place- would not recommend anyone put their loved one here. They don't provide proactive care and have poor communication with POA/SDM's. Both my sister and I work in health care and we had to constantly ask questions with no answers provided in a timely manner. The care providers don't communicate with each other in order to provide a cohesive care plan and changes in care are done without consulting family. Every time I would visit my mother I would see clients poorly positioned in their wheelchairs with nobody correcting their posture. My mother only lasted 9 months there. When she came in she was still deemed to have cognitive competency and a week before her death they said she had moderate dementia which was the cause of her decline. Meanwhile her oral intake was reduced since December and they did not tell us until the end of May that a dentist saw her in February and recommended new dentures. We were not contacted to get dentures fitted and when her oral intake was not improving there was no consult with us about a possible NG tube. She essentially declined and subsequently died of starvation and dehydration because of their poor unorganized care. They also did not respect her belongings- lost 2 neck pillows we brought for with no restitution- damaged clothing again with no restitution, ignored our request to place delicate clothing in a laundry hamper that we clearly labelled so we could take them home to wash. Instead they just threw everything into their institutional laundry.
If you enter the doors of this facility and stay be prepared to have your loved one die very quickly as a result of their poor care
