ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

For four generations, the Ward family has served families with kindness and trust. Over 100 years, the Ward family has dedicated themselves to offering supportive listening and helping families celebrate their loved ones' lives. William John Ward (WJ) bought the company from Mr. John Albert Wright in 1914 and served the rural town of Weston. Lindsay, his eldest son, added a Woodbridge chapel, which closed when he died in 1937. In 1938, his youngest son, William John (Bill), took over the business. Bill’s sons, William John (Jack), who joined in 1959, and Alan M. in 1961, acquired the business when Bill died in 1968. Jack's third-generation family members invested in the business by including William John (John) and Alan's Cameron-1993 and 1993, respectively. Ward Funeral Home has been a community institution since it began. Doors Open Toronto selected the site for its 2013 exhibit. Ward Funeral Home has consistently offered affordable, dignified services to Weston families. In the 1980s, the Ward third-generation family managed the company's growth. The community is growing and the Wards' added to them. Adding the community to Weston was an easy choice. The fourth generation of Wards are now actively involved in the company. They are committed to the family and community legacy and support the company’s original principle of honesty and listening. They will remain focused on innovation for many years, providing excellent service and value for the community.
