Tara Smith offers workshops, classes, and creative expression for kids, teens, and adults in her studio. It is an oasis of learning, creativity, and socializing. The session ends with a group art exhibition displaying the student's work and accomplishments. The studio is constantly busy with special events like open studios and one-day workshops. Rotating art exhibits are also part of the schedule. Contact us with any questions about bookings or hosting a special event. The class allows people to express themselves through their creativity. This class will allow people to express themselves not only by using physical space but also through support, conversation, vision, and nurturing their creativity. The RE-create art studio is located in the heart of Hamilton and offers free arts programs to young people who would not have had access otherwise. Re-create is open to youth artists that identify themselves as marginalized and experiencing barriers. This could be due to mental health problems, the inability of young people to live on their own, precarious income or housing, etc. RE-create’s shared studio space with other youth-serving art organizations is a place where youth can come to explore their artistic side. Youth artists can fill in our space with their own creativity. We offer a wide range of supplies, programs, and the freedom to teach and lead workshops. A team of talented and caring volunteers, who are themselves, artists, support the artistic growth and learning that takes place in the studio. The RE-create studio drop-in times are at the heart of our program, but we also offer many other extra programs. Our Mentorship Program connects young artists with mentors. She worked for two years as a graphic designer in Canada after moving there. She became a volunteer for the Living Arts Center- Mississauga as well as Visual Arts Mississauga. She offers art classes to both adults and children. Bhairavi began exhibiting in Southern Ontario her Plein Air paintings since 2017. The McMichael Canadian Art Gallery juried her painting for an exhibit. Art Battle live painting has seen her as a finalist, and winner, several times. Daniels Corporation awarded her a prize for a mural on the hoarding of Mississauga’s Wesley Tower. Anne Foster Windows, Hamilton's Heritage Site, is displaying her music-related artwork, which includes fabric art, acrylic and watercolor paintings. Now, her "Lively Winter" illustration is displayed as street banners. The banners are expected to be displayed in Waterdown for each Fall-Spring period for several years.
