RE-create Outreach Art Studio

The RE-create Outreach art studio is located right in the heart of Hamilton. RE-create Outreach accepts youth artists who feel marginalized or are facing barriers. These barriers might be coming from mental health difficulties, housing and food insecurity, instability in housing, or a lack of agency for young people as they move into more independent living situations. Our studio offers a shared space where young people can come to learn art and self-expression. Youth artists are welcome to draw with us how they like to see the studio. We provide supplies, programs, and opportunities to teach and lead workshops. A team of dedicated volunteers, artists themselves, support young artists’ growth and learning in the studio. Our drop-in studio times are at the core of RE-create Outreach’s art, but we also offer additional extra programs. The Mentorship Program matches young artists with mentors. We also offer more targeted, focused programs that explore intersections of arts and modalities such as writing, mindfulness, or identity. Our programs are constantly changing, so please stop by the studio to hear about them.
