Womankind Addiction Service

Program Overview Womankind Addiction Service has gender-responsive programming. We offer a safe and inclusive environment for women and men. Our 26-bed facility located in Hamilton offers a combination of programming and support to assist women in changing their addiction. After intake, the specially trained staff will help you to identify and plan your next steps. Intake Phase Women are admitted to observation upon arrival. Intoxication/withdrawal symptoms will be monitored. Fluids are recommended, and rest during this time is essential. Stabilization Phase This is a transition phase where women will be moved into the program. These rooms will be used as a base for planning their next steps. During this phase, women will attend education groups. Women will also participate in referrals. The women will be responsible for light chores and taking care of their personal hygiene and health.
