Our office building at 113 Breithaupt Street is a part of our narrative, describing how we transformed an old, neglected space into a contemporary workplace. It embraces its site, enhancing and reviving the core of the city. Our office is in the city's 'innovation district,' beside Google Canada Headquarters (both Martin Simmons Sweers designed) and the Breithaupt Block. The dark, monolithic siding is the structure's robust skin, echoing the building's industrial heritage, both inside and out. It is built from simple, functional materials, including wood, metal, and wood windows. One large, horizontal window, known as "the monitor," extends over the studio and gazes over the rail line that passes by. The entrance is embraced by a white, extended central gathering table that stretches the length of the studio's founding wooden beam network. It serves as the heart of our team. The table is a place where intricate models are laid to see. You will often find clients gathered at this table, discussing design ideas and celebrating milestones. The studio's minimalist, gallery-like interior sets a quiet, contemplative tone. It is bright and open, much like how we work together.
