Jolly Swim School

At Jolly Swim School Inc., we have been a London swimming tradition for over 40 years. The original year-round swimming program was operating out of a backyard pool at Riverside Dr. However, it now operates out of Berkshire Club at Berkshire Dr., near Wonderland and Springbank. The Swim School was a school that many parents of our current swimmers attended. Maybe they remember getting thrown into the pool with no warning. We aspire to teach your child to swim well. Strategies and tactics have developed over time. Judy Hubert, nee Roper is the current owner and operator of Jolly Swim School Inc. Judy attended the School from 1970 to 1980. She was an instructor until the 1980s. Judy acquired the company in the 1990’s to earn money for her university education. Judy earned her Master of Education from the University of Western Ontario, and now works for the Thames Valley District School Board. Judy has kept the School running because she enjoys teaching children to swim. Jolly Swim School Inc. uses attainable, realistic, and trackable goals. The program involves a set of specific criteria that children are required to meet. Our approach is skills-based and equips children with lifesaving abilities. Our objective is to help your child achieve independence in water. The Berkshire Club is our host location. Lessons are available Monday to Friday from 1:00pm to 6:30pm during the summer. During the school year, lessons are offered on Sundays from 8:30am until 12:00pm. We will not be offering lessons in Fall 2022 but we anticipate that they will be back in 2023.
