So I was referred to this firm through my work. Promising to save 25% if I went with them. This was my first mistake. The savings means nothing if they don’t solve my problems and help me get what I needed. Other than file paperwork my lawyer Catherine Andrews did nothing for me in my separation. My ex took my children without a court order and spread endless lies about me in her affidavits. Catherine offered no solution aside from sending yet another correspondence that ultimately carried no real power. Later I found out we could have filed a motion which would have at least been something. A couple months later my lawyers firm decided to give themselves a 25% raise for all their hard work. Goodbye discount. At this point I started using Catherine only when it was absolutely necessary and started filling out and filing my own affidavits. I even started representing myself during my court conferences because last time I had Catherine sit beside me during a four way zoom call with my ex and her counsel she said and did nothing. By this point she basically said she wasn’t interested in representing me anymore. Had $600 dollars left in my retainer but she informed me it would take 6 weeks to close my file. They sent me a cheque for $7. In what world does someone continue to make money after you fire them. This is probably normal for all lawyers but doesn’t make it right. In conclusion don’t settle for just any lawyer you need to find the right fit. Someone who actually cares more about helping not just looking to take your money and doing the bare minimum which is ultimately the most stressful and financially important part of your life. Catherine Andrews and her firm will never be what you need to succeed.

Not impressed. Seem to be far more concerned with retainers and billing that with client's matter.
