Terra Skin Clinic

Dr. Zhi-Lin Fong, a practicing family doctor, provides aesthetic and skin disease treatment at the Terra Skin Clinic. Dr. Zhi-Lin Fong is a board-certified family physician with an interest in aesthetics and skin diseases. She graduated from Dalhousie University's medical program and then completed her family medicine residency at Memorial University. After working as a family doctor for a year in Newfoundland & Labrador, Dr. Fong realized that the majority of her patients had skin complaints and lacked accurate dermatology information. Driven by the desire to improve community care standards, she sought dermatology training. This experience sparked a deeper interest in skin diseases and skin health. Dr. Fong has a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University (UK) and is proficient in dermoscopy. Dr. Fong also enjoys medical education and is pursuing a Master of Clinical Science degree at Western University. She teaches postgraduate students and local doctors at the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine on dermatology, dermoscopy, and minor skin surgeries. Dr. Fong initially practiced general family medicine while cultivating her interest in dermatology. She has since expanded her practice to include primary care dermatology and aesthetic services. In her family medicine academic work at Oak Valley Health's Markham Family Medicine Teaching Unit, Dr. Fong established the Terra Skin Clinic to pursue her interest in aesthetics. She is currently focused on laser therapy and light therapy, a modality she first became interested in while looking for a treatment for her patients' Rosacea, severe acne, and scarring concerns. Dr. Fong is passionate about delivering individualized, safe, and fulfilling patient-centred care.
