Steve Ramoul, a Carleton University graduate with a Home Inspection Certificate from Seneca College in 2005, launched a private business under the name The Home Inspectors Group. The Home Inspectors Group was established to provide comprehensive and effective home inspections, including reports on the spot, which was uncommon at the time. As more homeowners asked for energy assessments, The Home Inspectors Group began to pivot to the home, forging ties with many Heating, Cooling and Insulation firms in the process. They launched the ecoEnergy program in 2008. A Service Organization licensed by Natural Resources Canada, Home Inspectors Group has completed thousands of Energy Audits and trained hundreds of Energy Advisors.
