More like weasel law. A family member had an extremely bad experience and is being intimidated to avoid a board complaint.
The lady involved had a time sensitive real estate pre construction closing and she was encouraged to take a certified cheque instead of a wire order to the builder. There were foreseeable delays with the bank and it cost her thousands in late fees. One would think a so called real estate expert would be familiar with these "nuances"??
Worse still, apparently it was amusing to the "wolves" when the question "will it be hundreds of dollars in fees?"was asked. the answer: "Haha more like thousands". Indeed, it was "unlucky" (apparently they don't know better?) and thousands of late fees were assessed
Now the "wolves" won't reply to this senior, gentle lamb's email but I've been told have threatened her if she " damages their reputation" by recounting her unfortunate experience.
I understand an error. But the behaviour and unwillingness to make a client right ("errors and omissions") are terrible.
Don't walk, run from them.
