For four generations, the Marks family has been part of the Oshawa community. Marks Sr., Ernest (1890-1952), founded the Marks Theatre at the corner of King Street and Celina Street in the 1920s. In 1931, he became Mayor of Oshawa. Marks Jr., Q.C. Ernest (1912-1995), founded Marks & Marks Lawyers in 1946. In 1967, he became Mayor of Oshawa. Marks, Edward (Ted), an associate of Marks & Marks, served as Chair of the Separate Schools Board in 1983, 1987. He was also City Councillor at one point between 1988 and 1994. In 2015, J. Bradley Marks, a government relations lawyer in the Firm, joined as its Vice President. He has been a servant of the community, serving as St. Vincent's Kitchen's Manager. Our attention has always been focused on the Community of Oshawa's concerns and the clients we represent. We anticipate many more years of offering you our best.
