Equator Coffee NAC/CNA Established in 1998, we've been roasting and serving fair-trade, organic coffee. Craig and Amber Hall started the company to make a global and local difference. The brand name “Equal” comes from trying to equate the benefits of coffee drinking for everyone involved, including staff that pack, serve, and grow the beans. Craig, who obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Development from the University of California, turned his academic qualifications into a coffee business to support farmers and marginalized people. He found the model of organic and fair-trade coffee after discovering fair-trade coffee during an internship. He never knew that this “direct-trade” movement, which started years later, would drive the coffee industry. Amber headed a program for the first few years to help the company get started. Afterward, from 2000, she became a 50% shareholder with Craig in 2011.

The coffee shop at Wellington Street's NAC has a wonderful view and peaceful environment, making it an effective study spot. Customers enjoy the strong coffee quality as well as the helpful staff. While the coffees are a bit pricey, most consumers believe that this is a good working environment. In addition to constructive suggestions for the place, most of which do not appeal to the shop's crowd, this review is superb. At the same time, the shop's beverages are perfect, whether for a night's discussion or a parliament tour. With its grandeur and beverages, the store retains the aura of other café around it. In general, the shop is perfect for most customers and is recommended.
