In 1977, Goldform Manufacturing Jewellers was established by Alex Maxwell and Shane Alexander. Our next owner, Larry Shapiro, was a true goldsmith. Larry learned the art of goldsmithing from his father, who was a European goldsmith. Larry is a qualified goldsmith who can handcraft anything in the shop. The first shop was at 147 Sparks Street. Our clients included Alpen Jewellers, where we did repairs and alterations, as well as custom manufacturing for over 40 jewellers around Ottawa, Canada. In 1983, Larry bought a building located at 161 Holland Avenue. This was done as we had the opportunity to leave the congestion of downtown and make it easier for our private clients like you to come and see us. We also have space for a bigger bench where we are now. We are visible from the Queensway from either end, so it should be easy for you to come to us. About two minutes from the highway, you would be there, depending on the traffic. We say that sales and customer service are what the company is about. You convey a clear message that you appreciate quality and design when you choose one of our creations. Our experienced goldsmiths make various shapes, and they can create a stunning masterpiece in gold, with or without stones, either yellow, rose, or white gold.
