The Algonquins have traditionally served as the keepers and protectors of the Ottawa River Watershed tributaries, including the Kichi‐sippi (the Ottawa River). This land is rich in history and stories that are a tribute to the many nations that welcomed it over the years. We acknowledge the role of all peoples, including Algonquin Nation ancestors, as stewards of the land we stand on and thank them for all the care they have taken of it and continue to take of the land.
