Larry B.A. Laurentian University, 1970, 1st year towards Bachelor of Divinity, L.L.B. Queens University, 1974. His father, H. D. Peterson Q. C., was his first article. Then, he joined the Wishart, Noble, Nori firm. He returned as a lawyer at Wishart Noble Nori and after that, he was called to the bar. He also took charge of their Wawa office, which included White River and Hornepayne clientele. Larry took over the Peterson & Peterson law firm from H. D. Peterson in Bruce Mines. He established a branch in Blind River in 1978 and a Sault Ste Marie office in 1979. The three offices have 13 skilled support personnel and are fully operational on a daily basis.
