Craft & Design Studio

Harbourfront Centre is the only artist-in-residence program in Canada dedicated to craft and design. At our Craft & Design Studio, witness design-led exhibits and see art in progress through the artist residencies: Textiles and Glass. Our international centre for arts, culture, and ideas operates a 10-acre campus in Toronto’s downtown waterfront. As a charitable, not-for-profit cultural organization, we offer 52 weeks of varied programming, seven days a week, all year round, to bring artists to the forefront of this mandate. Our dynamic, ambitious, and provocative programming challenges our audiences and visitors and stimulates debate and learning. Our mission is to assist modern Canadian artists throughout their careers. We link them with international artists and promote national and international cultural and interdisciplinary exchanges.
