Manor Road Co-Op Nursery School Inc, is Toronto's oldest cooperative, located in Midtown in the Davisville Village community. The Junior League established MRNS in 1935 to give children outdoor play opportunities. The parents took over the operation in 1937, creating Canada's first cooperative nursery school. MRNS continues to be the Church of the Transfiguration's oldest nursery school. The organization has been self-supporting, non-denominational, and non-profit from the start. It belongs to the Toronto District Parent Co-Operative Preschool Corporation. In our theme-based environment, children can explore, learn, and have fun. The child's school day involves arts and crafts, drama, gross motor, and a learning circle. Kids can have an array of outdoor and indoor activities that will help them thrive daily.
