Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring compound produced by the body that aids in the digestion and absorption of dietary fat. When it is injected beneath the chin, it reduces the amount of fat, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness. These cells no longer store fat and can be eliminated.
