Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University

To respond to the postmodernization of management, the Faculty conducted the research that postmodernism critiques previous regimes and approaches. On the other hand, Desautels Faculty of Management inaugurated The Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management in 2008 with the support of Marcel Desautels' donation. The institute aims at developing an integrated management approach. Integrative management involves managing different value perspectives constructively. It combines flexible and compromising strategies (MDIIM, n.d.). MDIIM is also mandated to ensure that this approach is available for all faculty members, including integrated management support system. This system crosses disciplinary boundaries and values orientations, involves multiple perspectives and encourages context-sensitive, holistic thinking about organisations.
