First, I explicitly asked for shellac, not gel. I actively avoided gel and had been growing out my natural nails for over two months. However, the technician started applying gel without asking if I was fine with that. I was only informed partway through, when the process was nearly finished. This is unacceptable. Second, I was injured during the manicure. My finger was cut, and it is still sore and swollen now. This makes me question the salon's hygiene and professionalism. Finally, the work quality is incredibly poor. My manicure looks like it is already one week old — uneven polish, messy cuticles, and overall rushed and unpolished work. I genuinely think I could have done a better job myself. I paid over $100 for this, and writing this seriously upsets me. It was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had, and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Customer Testimonial 5: I’ve had a mani/pedi here twice. I went to remove gel polish on Monday, and the technician just used an electrical file without any remover. When I asked, she said that it was the way they do it normally. The pedicure felt rushed, and she didn’t scrub my feet properly at all. There was no mask, my feet were barely massaged, nothing. It felt like she just wanted to do the bare minimum and go to the next customer. I didn’t feel relaxed or taken care of like you should feel during a pedicure. I really hope management will take this feedback into consideration and work to improve the culture of how customers are treated.
