Sogemec assurances

Sogemec Assurances was founded in 1978. In 1986, after the Insurance Act was revised, it was authorized as an incorporated organization. Since the establishment of both the Grouped Associations' Secretariats and the FMSQ's administrative management from the outset, Sogemec has increased its claims, reimbursing more and more claims from its members. From the early days, Sogemec has also offered insurance for certain specific associations; their first customers were doctors. The Corporation de service des notaires du Québec acquired a 15% stake on December 1, 1992, and the Federation of Resident Physicians of Quebec was founded in 1993. The Quebec Student Medical Federation was founded in 2004, Francophone Doctors of Canada were insured in 2006, and the Association of Young Notaries of Quebec now has its insurance group. Our insurance groups all have over 12,000 policyholders now.
