Dr. Kristopher M.W. Ledding

I had a terrible experience with Dr Ledding. The first red flag should’ve been the lack of pictures on his website. 3 years later and the picture portion of his website STILL says coming soon. I guess it’s hard to post pictures of your work when the work looks terrible. I had a breast reduction with hopes of better quality of life, and I’ve had nothing but problems since working with Dr Ledding. He was pompous and arrogant during my consultation and was condescending when answering questions. On the day of my surgery when I asked him how small he would be making my breasts after the reduction, he replied “that’s for me to decide”. He decided I didn’t need breasts anymore because I woke up in tears when I realized he had practically cut out all of my breast tissue. Instead of giving me breasts that were proportionate to my body, he took the easy way out and cut out ALL my breast tissue. 2 weeks after the surgery, both of my wounds reopened and I spent 4 months getting my wounds dressed. A surgery that was supposed to have a healing time of 6-8 weeks took me almost a year to recover from. My breasts look horrible, there’s uneven skin on both sides, I went from a triple D cup to an A cup. My breasts are worse than they were before I had the surgery. Working with this man has been one of my biggest regrets in my life. My family doctor that recommended him apologized when he saw the work and said he’d be willing to recommend me for a reconstruction because the work was so bad. Dr Ledding was unkind, lacked compassion and did not seem concerned about the terrible quality of work when I saw him post op. His stitches were poorly done,I have no areola, my nipples are misaligned and my breasts look like a child operated on them. I’ve seen better work on people that had mastectomies. I can’t look at my breasts without crying. They look like a science experiment gone wrong. I opted for this surgery because I wanted a better quality of life and to feel more confident. This surgery diminished my quality of life, continuously impacts my mental health and i never feel confident about my body. He only cares about the money and has no regard for his patients. At one of my post op visits when I expressed concern regarding my scarring, he responded “as a person of color you shouldn’t be shocked by this amount of scarring” with a big smile on his face. My life became a real life version of the show “botched” after working this man. His staff is only friendly during the consultations, once they get your money you just become another file to them. I’ve spoken to a few other women that had the same experience with him. Please consider working with another plastic surgeon. I’m posting anonymously for the sake of my privacy.
