Neutral Ground Artist-Run Centre is a contemporary visual and media arts venue located on Treaty 4 Territory/Regina. Our mission is to present contemporary Canadian and Saskatchewan-based mid-career and emerging nationwide artists to the public. About Neutral Ground Artist-Run Centre Neutral Ground was established in 1982 as a not-for-profit organization that seeks to give experimental multidisciplinary practices opportunities to artists. We are recognized as Oskana ka - Sasaki in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our location is primarily a public gallery, and we recognize that it sits on Treaty 4 land, which is home to nehiyawaks, Anihsinapeks, Dakotas, Lakotas, Nakodas, and Metis/Michif Nation. Our Values Neutral Ground's mandate seeks to create an inclusive, equitable experience for artists, members, and community stakeholders. The company recognizes that individuals are oppressed by intersecting power dynamics. Given this, lived experience and non-Western knowledge and ways of being are seen as competent sources of knowledge. As a result, the organization integrates diverse identities into its programming to balance power. It does this by using a jury-led artwork selection process. Neutral Ground commits itself to advocate for and display the works of underrepresented systemically artists, regardless of race, religion, or national origin, while taking into account gender, age, physical and mental disabilities, and education.
