University of Saskatchewan or USask is situated in Treaty 6 territory in Saskatoon. It is also the homeland of the Metis. It is a Canadian medical doctoral university recognized for its research-intensive programs, including water, food security, infectious diseases, and other global challenges. Our top facilities, such as the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron, VIDO InterVac, VIDO Food Security, Global Institute for Water Security, and Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation, support research. This improves learning and discovery. Sunday, March 8th, the Office of Sustainability is pleased to host a film screening, panel discussion, and focus group in collaboration with the USSU Women's Centre, Women's and Gender Studies, and the Saskatoon Women's Community Coalition to mark International Women's Day! A university plan: The university the world needs directs us. We collaborate with communities and across disciplines to resolve the most difficult global issues. The hard work, determination, and ingenuity of our graduates demonstrate their success. Our primary campus in Saskatoon provides a foundation for the interdisciplinary aspect of our studies. The Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Centre is one such place, marking it as an intercultural space that reflects the Indigenous cultures here and the Health Sciences Building, which integrates eight health sciences fields into a practical, hands-on environment.
