Dr. Stephenson is a member of many of Dr. Stephenson's Orthodontic and Dental Organizations. Dr. Stephenson is a part-time clinical lecturer in the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan. Invisalign is a transparent option to braces (shown right). Invisalign corrects your teeth using a set of transparent aligners that can be taken off. There are no metal wires or brackets. Many clinical studies demonstrate Invisalign's efficacy. Orthodontic practices across the world use this method. Every aligner is worn for two weeks. You take them out to eat, brush, and floss. The teeth shift as you wear each aligner until the orthodontist achieved the desired position. Your orthodontist may check you every six weeks. Treatment lasts for nine to fifteen months on average, and the number of aligners used in the treatment ranges from 18 to 30. However, this varies depending on each case.
