Hart Reade Solicitors Feedback Review Customer feedback summary: One hundred per cent recommend Alexandra Funnell and her team at Hart Reade Solicitors in Eastbourne. They have got me over the line with my divorce after 2 very difficult and dark years. Alex was fantastic. She was kind, patient, very knowledgeable and great at negotiating. It has been very reassuring having her and her team in my corner. Mr Benson is doing my mothers probate, we saw him in early January and he said it would be 6 to 8 weeks. We've heard nothing. So for the last 3 weeks we have been ringing, just for an update. We've rung 5 or 6 times and not one person can give us any information and not one person has called us back. 24 hrs ago I complained to the office manager who still hasn't called me back. We are a grieving family and the way you are ignoring us and refusing to give us any information, is now becoming upsetting. Its both rude and unprofessional and I dont know what to do?? Edit: And now we're told a letter should have been sent to us, but it was forgotten. What an absolute Shambles. Edit: Today 18th April we received a letter thanking us for attending a meeting on the 13th January and requesting documents. According to the letter you have not even applied for probate?? What have you been doing for the last 4 months?? Give this place a miss I spoke to someone on reception who after being unable to speak to a solicitor told me to email which I did . After 2 weeks of no reply I rang again who told me a new solicitor didn’t show up to deal with my query . But they could’ve told me this initially and at least had courtesy to reply to my email explaining. Very unprofessional . Avoid Poor service no response from partners after weeks of trying. Alex and her team at Hart Reade acted for me in relation to financial aspects of my divorce. They were brilliant from start to finish and achieved a fantastic result. I found them to be very professional, efficient, understanding and knowledgeable. Couldn’t have had better representation! I have used Hart Reade three times in recent years, twice to do a deed of variation on my ground rent and most recently to act for me in the sale of my home. In all cases I found their work to be of the highest quality and extremely efficient and was always treated courteously and with warmth. I can thoroughly recommend them Went to this solicitors to get help on removing someone from my deeds and after taking a lot of money and wasting our time they did absolutely nothing. Would not return phone calls or emails and visited their offices many times to no avail. Ms penfold at first seemed very positive and helpful but ultimately just ignored us for over a year until we finally gave up. Will have to start again with another solicitor which is very irritating to say the least! Edit. They replied to my review and I did email them as they requested this, and yes you’ve guessed it, no reply!! I highly recommend Sebastian Hale-Smith and Hart Reade. Sebastian moved quickly, gave me excellent advice and explained my options simply. A seamless experience, highly recommend if you need a down to earth solicitor you can rely on. Greg Saunders acted for me on a very acrimonious divorce The whole process has taken exactly 3 years including family court proceedings. I have found his advice to be invaluable, accurate in every detail, and thoroughly professional I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone finding themselves involved in divorce proceedings. They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable and I highly recommend their service. I tried to avail myself of the free 30 min consultation. The receptionist was very helpful. Three times she tried to get someone to call me but no-one called so I gave up. On this basis I would not be inclined to use their services. Divorce is never easy but when you are faced with a solicitor who is unable or unwilling to set their client on a reasonable outcome you have no choice but to call in the experts. IMHO the whole system needs a massive shake up to avoid hefty legal bills and encourage manageable and affordable outcomes. Alex and her team only put forward such proposals to the other side and it was notable that after years of wrangling the outcome of the Financial Dispute Resolution was almost to a pound in line with what she had recommend we offer. This says it all really. If you want a lawyer to punish your ex, or to set you on a course of unrealistic expectations then look elsewhere. if you want your life back, speak to Alex and Nicola. We used Hart Reade for the sale of our property and the purchase of our new home. Unfortunately, they were very slow and would rarely answer the phone. Many mistakes were made and delays were caused as a result. When Coral Burr, did eventually answer the phone, she would say to us (on a number of occasions), “I could be getting on with that, instead I’m on the phone to you!” Would I recommend Hart Reade Solicitors? No. Guy Brown expertly handled my divorce and financial settlement. He showed considerable compassion and knowledge as I was guided through the legalities to a positive conclusion in what was a messy situation. Thanks also to Danielle for her advice and sensitive listening, and to Philippa for all the prompt and thorough correspondence. Our recent experience with this company was 1st class and we highly recommend them.
