I had the very unfortunate and miserable experience of becoming an HCB 'client'. This was further compounded by dealing with Alison Wilson who seems to excel in the bad treatment of their clients. Alison Wilson needs some major customer service training. She is severely lacking in professionalism. The whole service and HCB simply treat their clients with respect because you are being PAID to provide a SERVICE. We are not to be taken advantage of, fobbed off and disrespected simply because we are near completion and have no choice but to endure you in order to see the purchase complete. They will sit idle with your file for weeks, tell you all is well and then on the day of exchange, demand 50 further documents and bank statements! The complaints deparment then have the audacity to state they might have asked for some documents late but thats not a reason for a complaint! Only use them if you want to experience everything what Conveyancers SHOULD NOT BE & DO.2. Excellent service. Highly recommend. For all your legal services. 10/103. Lovely receptionist but unable to provide a service where my daughter at university in Northampton could sign a document pertinent to our imminent house purchase. I explained I would pay a fee and that the mortgage company had sprung this on us last minute. Nobody there was able to help in suggesting a solicitor nearby who may offer the service. I was told to google it. I live 360 miles away so would have liked a little support- even though they were unable to help us.13. We used Andrea Norfor assisted by Katie-Louise at HCB solicitors in Northampton for a particularly difficult property sale. The service we received was exceptional. They were always helpful, efficient and kept us up-to-date throughout the process without us having to chase. They offered great advice throughout and I would highly recommend.14.
