Trent Law were excellent and responsive throughout the whole process. Each stage of the sale was handled efficiently and this helped get it over the line before a duty change so well worth every penny. The charges were very clear upfront with no hidden extras and everything was included in the original quote. Alec, Mia and Amarie were brilliant at responding to any of our queries very quickly. The best solicitors I've had bar none! Will definitely use again and recommend to all. 15. Mixed experience. We used these solicitors for my partners fiance visa. Initially we had a meeting with one of the solicitors and it was really positive and seemed to start quickly, the process started well and we were allocated to an assistant to process paperwork. When we had passed this stage our application was handled by an associate. This was where things were frustrating. She was very difficult to get hold of. She would email us a question and if I emailed back (usually within an hour or so) it would still be days before we would hear from her. After a couple of instances of this behavior I started calling her instead as I felt it would be faster. However she never picked up the phone. Some days I left 3 messages across the span of the day for her but I was never phoned back. I understand that the company is busy but we felt the time to reply to messages was just ridiculous. This was at a time of high stress for me and my partner as they were living abroad and had been for a few months. We tried asking to speak to anyone else regarding the case but we were told the manager for the staff we'd been allocated was on holiday and noone else could help. Overall it was a really stressful experience. We'd chosen to use a solicitor as we felt it'd make the visa experience faster but this was not the case. We spent thousands on the application, which is a LOT of money for us and it didn't seem work it. When it came to applying for the spouse visa we did it ourselves, saving money and honestly so much hassle.
