I am assured that Martin Tolhurst kept their eye on the sale and progressed it as I required. All was completed in my time frame. Hopefully I will not be selling again but if so I would have no hesitations in using them again.6. The team were very professional, with attention to detail and extremely helpful. We are very impressed with the friendliness of the staff who went above expectations.7. Negligent and exhausting service. They reviewed and summarised the management pack but failed to flag major building issue (water pump damage). I found it and had to ask them whether this should be disclosed to my lender. It was only after I raised it that they informed the lender, who then withdrew the mortgage offer due to the nature of the damage which was disclosed in the management pack. Had I not questioned this, the purchase could have gone through and I’d have been left with a major issue years later. Communication was appalling. I was constantly chasing for updates. When my solicitor went on holiday, I was passed to an admin staff member who was unhelpful, unreliable, and never called back as promised. I only received information when I chased repeatedly. The online portal was rarely updated. They may have a high volume of clients, but that is no excuse for negligence and terrible service. This may be specific to the solicitor on my case and their admin, but if they represent the company, I would not recommend them at all. Avoid.8. Great experience, as a first time buyer I was clueless in what to do. Amanda and her team helped me with any questions or concerns I had, were thorough and worked at a fast pace. Cant thank you all enough.9. Having just used the services of Martin Tolhurst Solicitors for the sale of our property and purchase of a new property, we would highly recommend them. Ours was not a straight forward case, but they were very thorough to the point of other organisations that were involved in the chain commenting that they were having to respond to questions that they had never been asked before. The whole team were very professional and courteous and it was always possible to speak to someone directly in the team whenever we put a call through, they were always very clear and concise in their response. Through no fault of their own Martin Tolhurst Solicitors did a great job in our house sale and purchase, if I had one complaint it would be not knowing on completion date concerns the transfer of funds had I not chased up I am not sure we would have known, there was an issue. Once discovered Simran our solicitor was on the ball and got it sorted albeit at 4.30pm when we finally got the all-clear to move in. I repeat that was an issue with our buyers solicitor and once known Simran got it sorted.12. Danny Ball and his team at Martin Tolhurst solicitors Sittingbourne were both professional and extremely efficient.
