TF Reid & Donaldson Customer Feedback Summary My lawyer wouldn’t engage with their lawyer over the new born son issue. Advised my ex that they would maybe start responding after a few letters and want me to take the issue to court. I never bothered chasing as my lawyer said that I would have to go to court to sort it out. Can't believe you think its okay to ignore another firms letter over the issue of a child. Luckily my ex was more adult about the whole thing 2 years later. How petty and unprofessional your practices are. New to business and spotting a property that we liked, we were urgently needing a commercial solicitor. On a Friday afternoon at finishing time, I ran up to the door of TF Donaldson. I was given a quick appointment and introduced to Allan Rankin, he was very professional and welcoming and took the time to listen to our requirements. Our sale was very difficult and extrapolated, due to the extensive information required from our lending commercial bank and other parties who were not following up and communicating with our solicitor. I cannot speak highly enough of Allan Rankin for his patience, commitment and expert advice to get the sale completed. Delighted and would recommend their services to anyone. I have been using them for many many years and I find them great to deal with. Alan Morrison is a dream to deal with and a huge credit to the business. He really cares about people. I can’t recommend them enough. Having chosen this solicitors to deal with our parents house sale, my family and I have found the service and communication lacking. Constantly chasing up for information and generally feeling like a nuisance. With time sensitive issues like closing a house sale, dealing with the home buyer, title deeds issues, you require an efficient service. Most definitely not the case in our situation as we have needed to change the move dates on three occasions due to issues that should have been picked earlier up by any solicitor worth their salt. My parents both have dementia and have been so disappointed and often angry with the moving date changes, and we have almost lost the flat they are buying due to the delays. They know their job plain and simple, I've used them for over 20 years! Absolutely dreadful. Bought my flat through this firm, and although my lawyer did know the legal process (to be expected, you'd think), I felt I was treated like a nuisance. Their website promises top service, pleasant office surroundings etc etc, in fact they operate out of a dingy stairwell, with next to no visible human presence at 'reception' or anywhere. Rude receptionist, basic arithmetic mistakes by (albeit friendly) paralegal staff in my paperwork, and appalling communication from my lawyer. I was left in the dark for weeks, lawyer often wouldn't take or return my calls or emails, and when he did, he had no apology just more rudeness. It's firms like this that give the legal profession a bad name. I have been to a few lawyers this year doing bibs & bobs and I have definitely been unimpressed with their advice and diligence, so at last a law firm that does a decent job. It was only a short visit today but they dealt with it professionally, courteously and frugally. I have dealt with them before, they helped with my title deeds. Their location is a little frugal, but never judge a book by its cover. Great sevice Very helpful and great service
