About this business

Clients Review of Crawford Virgil M: Impact of customer feedback Started on May 2019. Always found case was going nowhere. Needed to keep chasing. By end of May case had not progressed. Emailed firm to be informed that my solicitor has left the firm and that I would be allocated a new solicitor. Was passed around to many solicitors. I believe they accepted my case and were willing to take my money without having enough staff or qualified staff to handle the case efficiently. I was then informed of the 5-year contract agreement that I was never disclosed about and I am unsure it even exists as it was never mentioned in the initial meetings or in the emails. I was then informed by one of the staff members that the contract was made to keep me at the company from the start as they knew they were going to pass me around. This came to light when I was being passed around and the staff member then admitted that it was unfair on me and that she does not agree with it but has to pass me around. I am very disappointed to know that I have been taken advantage of. I have had a lot of personal and financial struggle because of this case. I am also distressed to know that this contract agreement is now coming to light 10 months after I met them. I have been with the company since Dec 2018 and started paying for nothing since then. I believe that legal procedures have not been followed in my case as there has been constant email response from the firm. I have always had to make the first contact and this happened after the court case and the staff member telling me that my case had been closed. I then get threats from my abuser as the court instructor had given him the final say. Another threat I received was the inappropriate and unprofessional use of language in the email they sent me. I know that it was not confidential as they stated in the email as the other staff member who emailed me from this company cc'd the Managing Director. It is clear that there is no respect for privacy with this firm. I am fully aware that this company was not recommended to me. I therefore spent a lot of time and money that I could have used for my well-being and my family ROLE OF COUNCIL: A big NO. Professional but lacking in some areas; poor communication, no continuity, the involvement of my abuser as his lawyer, constant charges without proper communication, no regards for my rights, and unprofessional conduct especially in the email they sent me. The council has subjected me to serious emotional and financial stress, and I may even need to go for counselling at my own expense. TONE OF CONVERSATION: The tone used is that of a client who is disappointed with the services offered by the firm of the solicitor. ARGUMENT OF POINTS RAISED: The points raised in the email are valid due to the constant lack of information from the company as they never updated me on what was going on with my case. The late notification of my solicitor leaving and the introduction of a new one was note-worthy. Also, the contract agreement issue was a valid point due to the fact that it was never disclosed to me.
