The Altamont School

The Altamont School is an independent and co-educational co-educational day school that caters to grades 5-12. We welcome students from a range of socioeconomic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. The college-preparatory academic program is characterized by a customized college search, and an annual tour. Altamont School lets students to find their talents in many ways, through clubs, classes, projects, sports, arts, foreign languages, community service, and science competitions. The school community lives according to our mission, which governs every program and decision. Our community thoughtfully worked for two years to identify and articulate five Core Values: Respect, Integrity, and Balance; Curiosity and Leadership. These core values lead us to Truth, Honesty, and Knowledge, and help us achieve our mission of graduating individuals who are compassionate and well-educated, able to think independently and prepared to live productive lives.
