Trenholm Truck Driving

The Councill Trenholm State Community College Truck Driving Program is designed to prepare students to drive commercial license required vehicles. An accredited six-week non-credit program takes students from the fundamentals to advanced tractor-trailer operation. This course is derived from the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) curriculum. The driving courses and classroom balance the material, theory, and hands-on learning necessary to obtain a commercial driving license. The non-vehicle (non-vehicle) activities that must be done by the driver are also part of the courses. This course is designed to be relaxed and stress-free while also being educational and preparing students for their CDL license. The course begins with reading the information in a question-and-answer format, followed by demonstration and hands-on instruction.
